Purpose

We’re looking for an outstanding Junior Art Director to join our team to create outstanding creative for all of our clients. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years experience in developing creative work, ideally in an agency environment. They must be up for a challenge and an adaptable designer as tasks working on projects that could include event booth renderings, branded video series and concepting, designing and fine tuning branding assets.

The core offer includes sponsorship and brand strategy, PR, event and live experiences, digital and social media campaigns, advertising and branded content production. The Berlin office opened in 2012, Simona Schapiro and Jannis Klausch are the agency’s managing directors since 2019. M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment is the lead brand experience and sponsorship agency for Mercedes-Benz Vans, as well as lead sponsoring agency for ING. With its team of 15 employees, the agency has completed projects for adidas, Nike, Reebok, Foot Locker, Ferrero, Heineken, Desperados, Ballantines, UEFA, European Maccabi Games, Riot Games and Volkswagen, among others, in the past eight years.

Core Responsibilities

•  Raise the bar and then smash it with quality creative output for brands

•  Conceptualise ideas that can be as far ranging as a social media video series to an international fashion event

•  Produce clear and persuasive work

•  Comfortable presenting creative ideas

•  Work with account managers, planners, PR and sport enthusiasts to develop intriguing concepts

•  Submit ideas and discuss creative with the Creative Director before presenting to clients

•  Work closely with the Creative Director to further establish the M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment brand in Germany

•  Work across the full range of sport, entertainment and fashion brands under tight deadlines and to a high degree competency

•  Keep up to date with sport, entertainment and communication trends

•  Great understanding of social formats

•  Ability to work with partners to deliver print ready files

•   Inspire the agency with a strong POV for communications

Skills and Experience: 

•  Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or Advertising

•  A portfolio of convincing work

•  Expert competency of the entire Adobe Creative Suite

•  Experience with compositing in Photoshop

•  3D software a plus

•  Strong self-management skills as well as being able to work as a passionate member of a multi-disciplinary team

•  Ability to think conceptually and bring those ideas to life with convincing mock-ups

•  Good presentation and communication skills

•  Solid English, German a plus
